Iran Hosts CIS Free Zones Summit in Tehran
A high-level summit aimed at expanding trade and international cooperation between Iran’s free trade zones and member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Tehran, bringing together senior Iranian officials and foreign representatives. [MORE PHOTOS]
The conference, organized by Iran’s Supreme Council of Free Zones, was attended by managing directors of Iran’s free trade and special economic zones, along with delegates from CIS member countries and neighboring states.
The CIS, or Commonwealth of Independent States, is a regional organization formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union and includes countries such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and several Central Asian states.
