Member of Terrorist Group Ansar Al-Furqan Executed in Iran
The death sentence of Abdul Jalil Shahbakhsh, a trained member of the terrorist group Ansar al-Furqan, has been carried out in Iran.
According to Mizan News Agency, the news agency of the Iranian Judiciary, among the charges against Shahbakhsh were armed attacks on police stations and membership in the seditious Ansar al-Furqan group.Evidence and solid documentation extracted from the defendant’s communication devices and audio files, as well as his explicit confessions during various stages of interrogation and investigation, proved his connection to terrorists.A terrorist team affiliated with the Ansar al-Furqan terrorist group became active in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province during the riots of 2022. With the aim of taking revenge and creating insecurity, the members of this team prioritized identifying stations of law enforcement forces As a result of precise intelligence and security operations, it was determined that one of the key elements behind these attacks was a person named Abdul Jalil Shahbakhsh, known as "Shakib." In coordination with the judicial authority, an operation was carried out to arrest him, and this main member of the terrorist group was detained, after which specialized investigations began.He confessed that he had become acquainted with the Ansar al-Furqan terrorist group about six years ago. He illegally crossed the border to receive military training and traveled to one of Iran’s neighboring countries.
For one month, he underwent training in a terrorist camp in the mountains of that country, learning how to use weapons, urban warfare tactics, methods of attacking military posts, and counter-intelligence techniques, after which he returned to Iran.The death sentence of Abdul Jalil Shahbakhsh was carried out early Tuesday morning after being upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court.
