European Spy Arrested in Southern Iran

A European national was arrested by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in Hormozgan Province while spying on sensitive and military sites in the Southern Iranian province.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Hormozgan branch of the IRGC, “This European national was apprehended by the provincial Intelligence Organization of the IRGC during precise surveillance and intelligence operations, while conducting espionage activities in sensitive and military areas of the country, particularly in Hormozgan.” The individual had entered Iran under the guise of a tourist and traveled through several provinces, including Hormozgan, collecting information on key and sensitive military locations. The IRGC confirmed that the person, posing as a tourist, had a mission to gather intelligence from critical sites. The IRGC Intelligence Organization of Hormozgan emphasized the vital role of public participation in maintaining lasting security and called on residents of the province to report any suspicious activity linked to foreign intelligence services or espionage networks to the authorities.
