IRGC Navy: 15 Vessels Permitted to Cross Strait of Hormuz in Past 24 Hours

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy continues to exercise full control over the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring safe and orderly passage for shipping despite repeated threats from the United States.
The IRGC said on Monday that 15 vessels, including four oil tankers, transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours in coordination with Iranian forces.
Iran shut down the Strait to its enemies and their allies after the US-Israeli onslaught in late February. Iranian authorities began enforcing much stricter controls following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a blockade targeting Iranian vessels and ports. The Strait of Hormuz is responsible for a fifth of the global oil supply, and Iran’s restrictions have caused a major surge in international oil and commodity prices since they were imposed in April.Early this month, Iran officially launched a new mechanism for governing maritime traffic through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC also warned that any vessel cooperating with hostile forces in the region would be considered a security threat and would be dealt with accordingly.
