Iran: Response to Trump's Letter To Be Announced After Review Completion

The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that the content of Donald Trump's letter to Iran is not far from the public statements of the US President, adding that the response to this letter will be announced through appropriate channels after the review is completed.
Esmail Baqaei, on Monday during the last weekly meeting with journalists in the Iranian year 1403, responded to a question about the content of Trump's letter and whether the visit of Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, to Oman was in the context of this letter. He said: "We currently have no plans to publicly release this message."He added that what has been published in the media is mostly speculation and lacks a precise basis. The essence of the letter, considering the public remarks of the US President, is not far off, and our response to this correspondence will be announced through appropriate channels after the review is completed.Baqaei stated that Araqchi's trip to Muscat is unrelated to the letter and was made following the meeting of foreign ministers of Islamic states in Jeddah last week.Regarding reports about preventing citizens from certain countries, including Iranians, from entering the US, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson described it as indicative of the hostility of US officials towards the Iranian nation. He added: "The travel ban on citizens from 43 Muslim countries to the US is a clear example of racism and religious, ethnic, and national discrimination, which is completely contrary to human rights standards and rules."
