The ceremony was held on Monday morning in front of the 12,000-seat hall at the Azadi Sports Complex, bringing together athletes, sports officials and participants to commemorate World Olympic Day. The event also honored the memory of students martyred in the attack on Shajareh Tayyebeh School in the Southern city of Minab. Organizers linked the ceremony to themes of resilience and national solidarity. The attack occurred on February 28, the first day of the US-Israeli war on Iran, which martyred more than 165 children.
The Azadi Sports Complex sustained damage during the recent imposed War, when the facility was targeted in attacks carried out by US and Israeli forces against Iran.
