Iranians Nationwide Commemorate Ashura with Noon Mourning Rituals

From Hamedan to Mazandaran, Shiraz to Mashhad, millions gathered in mosques, religious centers and open squares to pay tribute to the third Shia Imam.
The ceremonies, marked by elegies, processions, and collective prayer, reflected a deep sense of devotion and unity among mourners.
This year’s commemorations carried additional significance, as they came in the wake of recent Israeli aggression, adding a renewed tone of resistance and solidarity to the annual rituals.
