Foreign Minister Stresses Iran’s Inalienable Right to Peaceful Nuclear Energy
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, emphasized that Iran’s right to benefit from peaceful nuclear energy is non-negotiable.
On Sunday night, during a phone conversation with Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Araqchi briefed him on the indirect negotiations between Iran and the US, as well as the recent meeting between Iran and the three European countries.Araqchi stressed that Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy cannot be ignored and reiterated that if the other side demonstrates genuine willingness and respects Iran’s legitimate rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran is ready to engage in a win-win interaction in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, for his part, expressed appreciation for the constructive approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in pursuing diplomatic solutions and affirmed Turkey’s readiness to provide any necessary assistance in this regard.
