Iranian Transfer Module Successfully Injected into Orbit

The Iranian orbital transfer module, Saman 1, was successfully injected into Earth’s orbit, marking a significant step towards launching satellites into higher orbits.
The Saman 1 module was placed in orbit by the indigenous Simorgh launch vehicle in the early hours of Friday.Along with Saman 1, two auxiliary payloads—a CubeSat and a research payload—were also launched by the Simorgh rocket from the Imam Khomeini launch site. The mission successfully achieved an elliptical orbit with a perigee of 300 kilometers and an apogee of 410 kilometers.Simorgh, a two-stage liquid-fueled launch vehicle designed and built by the Iranian Ministry of Defense, accomplished its eighth launch with a record-breaking payload capacity for Iran. It successfully delivered multiple payloads, including the Saman 1 module and two research payloads, totaling approximately 300 kilograms. The Saman 1 orbital transfer module represents a crucial step forward in Iran’s ability to transfer satellites into higher orbits.
