Iran's Speaker: US Wrong Strategies to Create Quagmire, Affect Markets

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf issued an apparent warning to US President Donald Trump, stressing that wrong strategies create an endless quagmire that Washington will be stuck in for years.
Writing on X on Thursday, Qalibaf said "wrong strategies and impulsive decisions will reset the entire board for the worse".These decisions could "explode energy infrastructure and markets", creating an "endless quagmire that you will be stuck in for years", he added.
It comes after threats by Trump to hit Iran "very hard tonight" and seize Kharg Island. Tehran has repeatedly warned the United States and its allies against military adventurism. The United States military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Thursday it had carried out aerial attacks “against multiple targets in Iran”.In response, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corp (IRGC) struck US assets in the region, specifically mentioning bases in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.Iran’s military has also ordered the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all vessels, including oil tankers and commercial vessels.
"You will see a different Iran," Qalibaf concludes.
