Iran Estimates $270bln in Damage from US-Israeli War

Government Spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said preliminary assessments estimate damages from US-Israeli attacks on Iran at around $270 billion, stressing the figure is not final and will be reviewed in multiple layers.
Speaking to RIA Novosti, Mohajerani asserted that the figure may change, pointing out that “damages are usually assessed across several layers".
The US and Israel conducted a fresh round of aerial aggression on Iran in late February, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked assault on the country. The strikes led to the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and thousands of people, including women and children, as well as military commanders. The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced that more than 125,000 civilian structures were either destroyed or severely damaged by US-Israeli air attacks on residential areas across the country.Iran began to swiftly and firmly retaliate against the raids by firing barrages of missiles and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases in regional countries.
Mohajerani also noted that the question of war reparations was being followed through diplomatic channels.“One of the issues being pursued by our negotiating team, and also discussed in Islamabad talks, is the matter of war reparations,” the spokesperson stated, referring to the Pakistan-mediated negotiations that took place between an Iranian delegation and an American one in the city over Saturday and Sunday.
