VP: Iran's Armed Forces Keeping "Finger on Trigger"
Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref praised the “proud and historic” victory in the 40-day war, stressing the necessity for the country's Armed Forces to keep their "finger on trigger" in case of further hostility by the United States and Israel.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Aref congratulated Iran’s strategic victory over the “front of arrogance".Forty days have passed since the martyrdom of “great leader and architect of lasting security for the front of truth, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei,” Aref said, adding that the “immense loss has become a turning point for explaining a new logic of governance, in which the martyrdom of the commander not only did not disrupt the strategic calculations of the system, but raised national stability and structural cohesion".Aref emphasized that “what is observed today as Iran’s unshakeable stability and victorious authority is the fruit of the formation of the Khamenei school of thought – a school that has embedded the authenticity of power not in individuals, but in the will of the nation and the divine structure of the system.”He noted that Iran is emerging with honor from the complex layers of an all-out war against all elements of the “front of evil”, having shattered the calculations of enemies and opened new horizons for its allies.
“This 40-day war was not merely a military victory, but a turning point in changing strategic equations in the region and the world,” he continued. He argued that Iran’s enemies, lacking civilizational roots, miscalculated that the Supreme Leader’s martyrdom would mark the end of an era. Instead, he went on, the nation’s steadfast resistance imposed a heavy and historic defeat on the security and political structure of the arrogant front.Aref also highlighted the structural maturity of the system in transferring leadership and the comprehensive pledge of allegiance to the new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, stating that power in Iran is not person-centered but ideal-oriented and based on deep-rooted institutions.“The powerful, wise, and courageous presence of the new Leader at the apex of decision-making carries a clear message to the world: the doctrine of ‘Husseini Iran of Khamenei’ continues with increased firmness and insight,” he stressed.
Regarding the upcoming peace negotiations, Aref said, “While appreciating the honorable positions of the Pakistani government and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, I declare that we will actively participate in the Islamabad talks with full authority, and of course with absolute pessimism regarding the deceptive nature of the US, in order to consolidate battlefield achievements on the diplomatic level.”He reiterated the need for continued vigilance and all defense forces to keep their “finger on the trigger".He assured that the administration, present on the frontlines of service, will spare no effort to ensure economic stability, prosperity, and the “jihadi reconstruction” of national infrastructure alongside the fighters on the defensive front.“The Husseini Iran of Khamenei, under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, is today more powerful than ever, ready to create great victories at the dawn of a new world order,” he added.
The US and Israel started a fresh round of aerial aggression on Iran in late February, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked assault on the country. The strikes led to the martyrdom of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and hundreds of people, including women and children, as well as military commanders.Iran began to swiftly and firmly retaliate against the raids by launching barrages of missiles and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases in regional countries. In the early hours of Wednesday, after 40 days of war, Iran and the United States agreed to a two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan and the resumption of negotiations based on Tehran's 10-point proposal.
