Iran's Intelligence Ministry: IRGC on Frontline of Confronting "State Terrorism"

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry condemned the European Union’s move to add the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) to its so-called terrorist list, and announced that the elite forces remain on the frontline of confronting the “state terrorism” of the United States and Israel.
The ministry issued a statement on Saturday, saying the EU's decision reflects intensified hostility by the “arrogance front”, particularly the Israeli regime and the Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL) terrorist group. The statement further added supporters of Zionism and Daesh have stepped up their attacks on the IRGC due to its successful confrontations with Israel and terror groups.
The European Union's foreign ministers on Thursday announced their agreement to place the IRGC on the list of so-called terrorist organizations of the 27-member political and economic bloc. Iran views this step as a clear instance of political hostility.Iranian officials have termed the IRGC as the largest anti-terrorist force in the world, stressing that terrorism would have plagued entire Europe if the IRGC had not taken action against Daesh (also known as ISIS or ISIL) terrorists.Tehran has emphasized that the IRGC has been involved in the fight against terror more than any other military force, adding that the entity is threatened by the sponsors of terrorism, above all the Israeli regime and the United States.
“The IRGC is on the frontline of the fight against the state terrorism of America and the Zionist regime,” the intelligence ministry said, adding that intelligence forces are standing “powerfully” alongside the IRGC to ensure security in Iran and the wider region.
