Iran Voices Readiness to Play Role in UN Peacekeeping Missions
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei said Tehran is ready to participate in the United Nations’ peacekeeping missions.
Iran has expressed its preparedness during a high-profile meeting in Berlin to take part in the UN peacekeeping missions, Baqaei told reporters on Monday.“It indicates Iran’s stance on protecting peace in the conflict zones,” the spokesman stated.Since the peacekeeping troops include military personnel, the details of Iran’s partnership with the UN should be announced by the spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, he added.
