IRGC Chief: US, Israel Onslaught Against Iran to Open Up 'Gates of Hell'
Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel, saying that Washington and the Zionist regime will open up the gates of hell on themselves by committing any act of aggression against Tehran.
"If you make one wrong move, we will open up the gates of hell on you," Maj. Gen. Salami said on Thursday, addressing the Zionists and Americans."Sit down and stay in your place ... we have made extensive preparations. We are prepared for all scenarios. We are ready to deal with war at all levels," he added. The IRGC chief stressed that the Zionist regime is pushing Washington toward war in the region, advising the US to avoid making such a mistake. "Such a conflict would represent a major loss for" the US, he continued.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently repeated calls for Iran's entire nuclear infrastructure to be dismantled, as Washington and Tehran engage in negotiations for a nuclear deal.Echoing Netanyahu's remarks, US President Donald Trump has stated he wants Iran to completely scrap its nuclear program. The American leader has stated that he is willing to reach an agreement with Iran that allows Washington to “blow up” Tehran’s nuclear energy facilities, adding that there were only two possible outcomes, namely “blowing them up nicely or blowing them up viciously".Iran has repeatedly denied seeking nuclear weapons and maintains its nuclear program is peaceful. Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has issued an official fatwa (religious decree) clearly establishing that any form of acquisition, development, and use of nuclear weapons violate Islamic principles and are therefore forbidden. The Western narrative, though, has been used extensively to try to justify escalating sanctions, military threats, and covert operations targeting Iran and its nuclear infrastructure.Nevertheless, Tehran has invariably vowed to deal effectively with endeavours on the part of the US, its allied states, or proxies at engaging in military adventurism against the country. Iranian officials have warned that the country’s military will give a harsh response to any assault by Zionist regime and Washington.
Referring to Yemen's missile attack against Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, Maj. Gen. Salami mocked the Zionist regime's fragile defense system."You couldn't bear a single missile targeting your airport. Let alone hundreds and thousands of missiles?" he said."If you make a mistake, we’ll act on you in a way that you forget the True Promise I & II," the IRGC chief warned, referring to Tehran's military operations against the Israeli-occupied territories last year.
