Iran's DM: Israel Symbol of Terrorism

Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh stated that Israel has turned into a symbol of state terrorism across the globe.
In a meeting with Zimbabwe’s Minister of Defense and War Veterans Affairs Oppah Muchinguri in Tehran on Monday, Iran's military official strongly said nearly 50,000 people of Palestine, particularly children, have been brutally killed by the Israeli regime, backed by the United States and Western countries amid silence of international forums."Today, the Zionist regime has turned into a symbol of state terrorism in the world,” Brigadier General Nasirzadeh added. He also said Iran is fully ready to provide strategic assistance to Zimbabwe in its fight against terrorism."Terrorism and its spillover from various regions to the South of the African continent are among the most important threats and concerns of the governments in this region,” he stressed. The minister added that Africa has always had a special status in Iran’s foreign policy after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution given Tehran’s support for independent and revolutionary states and the African countries’ efforts to achieve independence from the arrogant system.
Nearly 51,500 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in the Israeli offensive since October 2023, most of them women and children. The figures exclude tens of thousands of p‌e‌op‌le who are believed to be d‌e‌a‌d in the bombed-out ruins of homes, shops, shelters and other buildings.Lancet medical journal has recently estimated the actual number of deaths in the war is much higher than the official toll. The military campaign has turned much of the enclave of 2.3 million people into ruins, leaving most civilians homeless and at risk of famine. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
The Zimbabwe’s defense minister, for her part, said a new chapter opened in ties between the two countries after the Islamic Revolution.Muchinguri added that her country seeks to deepen ties with Iran in defense, international, education, health, mining, agriculture, and other important global issues. She stated Harara is keen to make use of Tehran’s experience in various fields of education to be able to update and boost its defense power.
