IRGC Disbands Several Foreign-Backed Spying Networks
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) dismantled multiple espionage networks linked to the United States and Israel in the Northern province of Mazandaran.
The IRGC provincial commander, Brigadier General Siavash Moslemi, announced the operation in a statement on Wednesday, saying that it not only foiled major security threats but also prevented potential crises.Moslemi went on to say that intelligence services from the US, Israel, and other hostile countries have been actively trying to infiltrate Iran posing as foreign nationals and displaced persons.Many of these agents were operating under the guise of commercial companies, cultural centers, and charities, seeking to collect classified data or establish influence networks within Iran, he added.The commander further noted that IRGC forces successfully identified and dismantled the espionage cells thanks to precise intelligence monitoring.Iran's Minister: Mossad Spies Identified in Several Countries Iran has in recent years captured several members of spy networks affiliated to foreign secret services.
