AEOI Head: Iran Ranks Among Top Countries in Nuclear Industry

Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami said that his country is ranked among the world’s top countries in the nuclear industry.
Eslami on Saturday praised Iran's remarkable progress in the nuclear science and technology, stating that the country has successfully reached the level of the world's leading nuclear technology countries.“Now we have succeeded in obtaining computing codes and software used in the design and construction processes,” the Iranian nuclear chief added. These codes are used in the production of atomic products, he explained. He noted that great efforts have been made in the AEOI during recent years to pass the “research phase and enter the industrial phase” and this process is advancing.Eslami stressed the importance of making progress in the fields of science and technology which will lead to the country’s development in all fields.“With the flourishing of science and technology, deterrence will be created and no one will think of aggression …Therefore, it is necessary to make more endeavours not to be dominated by others,” the AEOI head continued.
Tehran has in recent years recorded many nuclear achievements in defiance of US sanctions and threats. Iranian officials say Tehran will soon become a production and export hub of pharmaceuticals. Iran has received “many demands from different countries” to provide them with radiopharmaceuticals and the country has exported Tehran-made nuclear medicine products to several states. Moreover, Iran is also among the top producers of high-quality heavy water in the world despite the enemies' plots to block Tehran's progress. Tehran says the United States is purchasing Iran's heavy water for its nuclear reactors through an intermediary.Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that the nuclear industry has become indigenized despite the West’s plots, and stressed the need to transfer the technologies developed in this field to other industries.Tehran is also planning to inaugurate the West Asia region's biggest radiopharmaceutical center in the current Iranian calendar year.
