Iran Warns Inaction Against Israeli Crimes to Backfire on Whole World
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kana'ani warned that "the monster of Zionism" poses a serious threat to the world, cautioning that international inaction in the face of Israeli crimes will have repercussions globally.
Writing on X on Saturday, Kana'ani said, “The monster of Zionism is a threat to the whole world.”“In light of the inaction by governments and international assemblies, particularly the United Nations Security Council, concerning the Zionist regime’s horrific and unprecedented crimes in Palestine and Lebanon, and the United States’ full military, political, and economic support for this criminal regime, the role of nations in supporting Palestine and Lebanon is key and decisive,” he added.
The warning came amid Israel’s October-present genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of at least 41,500 people, mostly children and women. The figures exclude tens of thousands of dead who are believed to be buried in the bombed-out ruins of homes, shops, shelters and other buildings. The military campaign has turned much of the enclave of 2.3 million people into ruins, leaving most civilians homeless and at risk of famine. The escalation against Lebanon, which began following the launch of the military onslaught on the tiny enclave, has also witnessed the regime carrying out countless deadly attacks against the Lebanese territory. The death toll from Israeli strikes against Lebanon since last October has also reached 1,500, including women and children, with some 5,500 injured.
“The consequences of the world’s inaction towards the atrocious and rebellious crimes of the Israeli regime will soon be felt globally,” Kana'ani cautioned.
