IRGC Spokesman: Claim of Direct Iran-US Hotline over Strait of Hormuz 'Pure Lie'
The spokesperson for Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has categorically rejected claims that a direct communication channel has been established between Iran and the United States regarding the Strait of Hormuz, describing the reports as "pure fabrication."
Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, the IRGC spokesperson, said in response to recent claims by US officials that a direct line had been established between Tehran and Washington over the Strait of Hormuz that the allegation was "an outright lie" and is "strongly denied."Mohebbi stressed that "such a thing has neither happened nor will it happen."He further emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is Iranian territory and "has nothing to do with the United States."
