President Pezeshkian Welcomes Leader’s Approval for Talks, Pledges to Safeguard Iran’s Rights

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has welcomed the Leader’s authorization to commence negotiations aimed at securing gains for the Iranian nation, emphasizing that the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) remains dedicated to safeguarding the rights of the Iranian people.
In a message issued late Thursday, Pezeshkian stated that the Leader’s address to the nation clearly outlined the responsibilities of all parties engaged in the negotiation process.Earlier, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei delivered a message to the Iranian people concerning the memorandum of understanding signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States.Pezeshkian expressed gratitude for the Leader’s recognition of the efforts and sincere intentions of government officials, as well as for granting permission to pursue negotiations designed to secure benefits for the Iranian people.“As president and chairman of the Supreme National Security Council, together with the council’s other members, I regard myself as fully committed to addressing his concerns with the utmost care and to protecting the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front,” Pezeshkian said.He stressed that the national interest and the preservation of the Iranian people's dignity, honor, and authority constitute the officials’ non-negotiable red lines.“With the negotiating team exercising the highest degree of diligence and precision, and with steadfast faith in God’s grace, a major victory will be achieved,” he added.
