AEOI Warns IAEA’s Silence on US-Israeli Attacks on Iran’s Nuclear Sites Constitutes Complicity

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) lashed out at the United Nations atomic watchdog for keeping mum on the US-Israeli assault against Tehran's nuclear facilities, cautioning that the global body's inaction makes it complicit in the onslaught.
Writing on X on Friday, the AEOI noted that the head of the organization, Mohammad Eslami, has so far written several letters to Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, urging him to condemn the aggressors’ attacks on Iran’s nuclear installations."The IAEA’s silence on US and Zionist regime’s attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities is not merely inaction but clear complicity with the perpetrators," the AEOI added."This historic negligence," it continued, "erodes the IAEA's little remaining credibility."
The IAEA has confirmed that Iran's Khondab Heavy Water Plant sustained severe damage and is no longer operational following US-Israeli attacks on the site on March 27.Iranian authorities reported that a yellowcake production facility in Ardakan, in the Central province of Yazd, was also struck on the same day.Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has also come under attack two times in early and late March. The IAEA, however, failed to condemn the attacks.
AEOI Spokesperson Behrouz Kamalvandi has also stated that attacking nuclear facilities that are under IAEA safeguards constitutes “a war crime".
