Iranian National Faces Trial in Paris over Pro-Palestine Social Media Posts

Esfandiari who has resided in France since 2018, has been held in pre-trial detention for more than six months due to her expression of support for the Palestinian people and her condemnation of the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.She is facing the baseless charge of “glorifying terrorism” solely because of posts on social media in support of the Palestinian cause. In September, the International Committees of Iran’s Student Basij, in a statement, called on international organizations, human rights bodies, and freedom-seekers worldwide to support Ms. Esfandiari and other activists repressed for defending Palestine, and to join the global campaign for the realization of human rights.
