Iran FM: Sanctions Failed Tool, Tehran Ready for Talks
Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, said the Western countries should know that sanctions are a failed tool with which they cannot impose their will on Iran.
Araqchi, in reaction to the imposition of new sanctions against Iran, added, it's surprising that the West is still pinning its hope on a failed experience, be it related to Iran's nuclear work or other matters. Araqchi reiterated that the Islamic Republic will continue its path in full-force, at the same time we have always been open to dialog and have never left the constructive negotiations aimed at reaching mutual understanding. The top Iranian diplomat pointed out any dialog should be held based on mutual respect, not threats and pressures. Referring to Iran's export of advanced weapons, Araqchi said this has been the result of sanctions, to which Western states have confessed. They are highly advised to change their course.
