IRGC Quds Force Commander Warns Israel of More Surprises by Resistance Front

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Brigadier General Esmayeel Qa'ani issued a strong warning to Israel and its allies, stressing that the resistance front has yet to exhibit the maximum of its capabilities in terms of military and deterrent power.
Brig. Gen. Qa'ani said on Wednesday the ongoing war between the Zionist regime and the regional resistance front has showed that the front serves as an “integrated set that has a lot of capabilities and capacities”.“Of course, it has not yet used all of its potential,” he stated, adding, “It was also proven [during the war] that no one can take the resistance front for granted.”The top general suggested that the regional resistance front could still face Tel Aviv with more surprises.
In early October, Hamas launched a multi-pronged surprise operation via land, sea and air. The group announced it was in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and Israeli settlers’ growing violence against Palestinians. The attack has killed over 1,200 and injured thousands more. Hamas also announced it is holding between at least 200 and 250 captives.Following the military operation by the Gaza-based resistance group, Israel carried out heavy bombardment across the besieged strip, killing nearly 31,000 Palestinians, mainly children and women, and wounding over 72,000 others, and levelling entire neighbourhoods. Thousands more are missing and feared buried under the rubble. The United Nations has reported that 85% of the population has been displaced from their homes, and hundreds of thousands of Gazans are starving to death and Israel's war in the enclave has brought famine with incredible speed. The humanitarian organizations have also cautioned the humanitarian crisis in coastal territory is reaching catastrophic levels, intensifying each day.Since the onset of the Israeli military onslaught on the blockaded enclave, however, resistance groups across the region, from across Iraq and Lebanon to Yemen, have posed a serious challenge to the regime by striking the occupied territories as well as Israeli-linked vessels with hundreds of rockets, missiles and drones.
“Today, the resistance front, especially the forces of [the Gaza-based resistance movement of] Hamas in the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, have assumed an offensive attitude by relying on [their] devotion and the weapons that they have [at their disposal],” Qa’ani stressed. The resistance’s youths, who used to rely only on their bare hands and stones to defend themselves, have now come to both “protect their land and reputation and beset Israel with their resistance [operations]”, the IRGC Quds Force commander stated. The regional groups, he added, have “heroically faced the Israeli Army with a serious challenge.”“Gaza’s ruins will definitely be repaired, but the occupying regime’s reputation will not,” Qa’ani concluded.#Iran#IRGC#Gaza#Israel#Hamas
