Qom Holds Mourning Ceremonies on 28 Safar
Mourning ceremonies were held at the Hazrat Masumeh (AS) Shrine and other locations across Qom on 28 Safar, marking the anniversary of the passing of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom of Imam Hasan al-Mojtaba (AS).
Large numbers of mourners gathered at the shrine and across the holy city to take part in prayers, elegies and traditional mourning rituals. The ceremonies marked one of the principal mourning occasions in the final days of the Islamic month of Safar, drawing pilgrims, religious groups and local residents.
