The visit marks Naqvi’s third trip to Tehran since mid-May, reflecting continued high-level contacts between Iran and Pakistan in the aftermath of the US-Israeli war against the Islamic Republic. Pakistan has played a notable diplomatic role since February, brokering the ceasefire and hosting the first round of talks between Tehran and Washington in April, though the negotiations ended without a breakthrough.
