Musical Narration of Shahnameh Staged with “Rostamzad” Concert

Written for a string orchestra, the work unfolded in 17 musical scenes inspired by Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, the Persian epic regarded as one of the greatest masterpieces of world literature.
The narrative path of Rostamzad began with the birth of Zal and culminated in the birth of Rostam, the legendary hero of Iran’s national epic.
