General Baqeri was regarded as one of the most prominent military and strategic figures of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s modern defense architecture, enhancing coordination among the armed forces, and supporting the Resistance Axis.
He had held the position of Chief of Staff since 2016 until the time of his martyrdom.
