This ancient palace dates back to the reign of Bahram V, also known as Bahram Gor (420-438 AD), and is believed to have been constructed by Mehr-Narseh, a renowned minister who served several Sassanid kings.
The Sarvestan Palace was registered as a National Heritage site in 1931 and was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 2018.
