Covering nearly 7,400 hectares, the sanctuary is home to Persian cypress trees (Cupressus sempervirens var. horizontalis), growing both in solitary groves and alongside other native flora. Some specimens, with trunk diameters surpassing 40 centimeters, stand as towering relics of ancient ecological balance.
