Most of Shahid Rajaei Port Fire Contained After Massive Explosion

Iran’s Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, noted that firefighting operations began on Saturday afternoon and have continued around the clock, with emergency teams from neighboring provinces and cities joining the efforts.
The powerful blast rocked the port in Hormozgan province after a fuel tanker exploded for reasons still under investigation. The tragic incident has claimed 25 lives and injured between 750 and 800 individuals.
Momeni praised the successful execution of the high-risk container separation operation, which helped prevent the fire from escalating.The interior minister emphasized that the final cleanup and extinguishing work will be completed within a few hours.
