Iran Army Spokesman: US Cannot Act as Legitimate Superpower
Iranian Army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said that the recent wars between the United States and the Zionist regime on one side and Iran on the other proved that the United States cannot appear in the position of a legitimate superpower.
Brigadier General Akraminia said the United States has faced serious challenges both in terms of hardware and military capabilities and from the perspective of software and morality, adding that it has lost its position.He said the world is moving beyond the era of Western and US hegemony toward a post-American and post-Western order in which countries have greater freedom of action and independence in pursuing their national security and interests.The Iranian Army spokesman said the contradiction between the values claimed by the United States, such as human rights and democracy, and its inhumane conduct in the wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran has removed the mask from the hypocritical face of the US.He added that disregard for international rules, such as interference in the internal affairs of countries and support for the Zionist regime as an occupying and aggressor regime, has diminished the United States' standing in the international system.Brigadier General Akraminia said the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a determining country in West Asia and an important player in the international system, has always sought sustainable security in West Asia through the active presence and participation of regional countries, while observing fundamental principles in its foreign and defense policies.
Akraminia stressed that the US aggression against Iran clearly showed that cooperation with foreigners and imported security cannot guarantee peace and stability in the region. He said the war made clear that the US priority is ensuring its own security and that of the Zionist regime, rather than the security of the countries of the region.
