FM Araqchi Urges Japanese People to Hold Govt. Accountable for US ‘Crimes’ Against Iran

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi called on the Japanese people to hold their government accountable for the United States’ use of military assets stationed in Japan in operations against Iran.
Speaking to Japan’s Kyodo News Agency on Saturday, Araqchi was responding to reports that US Air Force F-16 fighter jets had been deployed from Misawa Air Base in Japan to the Middle East to take part in operations against Iran.“The peace-loving people of Japan should ask their government to be held accountable for the crimes committed by the United States,” Araqchi said.Earlier, the UK-based UK Defence Journal reported that F-16 fighter jets stationed at the US air base in Misawa, in Japan’s Aomori Prefecture, had been deployed to the Middle East to participate in operations against Iran in March and April.Referring to the possible role of the fighter jets in US military operations against Iran, Araqchi stressed the Japanese government’s responsibility regarding the use of military facilities and capabilities stationed in Japan against the Islamic Republic.
