Official: Iran’s Oil Exports Rose 10% During US-Israeli War Despite Heavy Bombing
The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said that despite heavy bombing, Iran’s oil loadings and exports increased by about 10% during the recent war waged by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, while oil prices also followed an upward trend.
Hamid Bovard, in an interview with the Fars News Agency, said that Iran has not officially released figures on its oil production and sales for several years. He explained that this is partly because the country does not want its enemies to have accurate statistics on the performance of Iran’s oil industry, while security considerations also apply.Bovard added that Iran’s actual oil production is certainly higher than the figures reported by some official institutions, international publications and global sources.Referring to the country’s oil export performance during the 40-day US-Israeli war against Iran, known as the Ramadan War, the NIOC chief said that Iran’s oil exports increased by approximately 10% during the conflict compared with the pre-war period.He noted that the rise in exports occurred despite the country coming under heavy bombing, adding that oil loadings also increased.In addition to the increase in export volumes, Bovard said oil prices also rose, resulting in overall growth in Iran’s oil exports during the Ramadan War despite the difficult circumstances.
