In a sarcastic response to the US President’s claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian diplomats in India published a map of the United States labeling California as Iran’s new territory.
The official account of Iran’s Consulate General in Hyderabad, India, reacted to Donald Trump’s delusions about ownership of the Strait of Hormuz by releasing a map of the United States in which California is marked with the phrase “New Territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”While the United States has been unable to reopen the Strait of Hormuz after months of war against Iran, Trump on Tuesday once again repeated the claim of American ownership over this strategic waterway.Trump posted an image of the Strait of Hormuz on his Truth Social network and called it “America’s new territory.”Kazem Qaribabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, referring to the image published by Trump, wrote on X: “Just as Trump correctly wrote the name of the Persian Gulf, we will soon correct his delusion about the Strait of Hormuz as well.”
