IRGC Vows to Crush Any Threat with Maximum Deterrence, Powerful Offensive Operations
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran emphasized that the devoted guardians of the Islamic Revolution will crush any threat or aggression with full determination, utilizing a strategy of maximum deterrence and powerful offensive operations.
On the occasion of 26 Mordad (17 August), the anniversary of the return of the proud Freedmen (Iranian prisoners of war from Iraqi prisons) to the Islamic homeland, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps issued a statement addressed to the noble nation of Islamic Iran. It assured that the IRGC, under the guidance and directives of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, will defend the Islamic homeland with full capability and readiness.The statement stressed that in this critical juncture, the Guards, drawing inspiration from the sacrifice, resistance, and steadfastness of the proud Freedmen, and relying on Almighty God, in synergy and coordination with the other powerful armed forces of the country and under the command of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, will safeguard the sanctity of the Islamic Revolution and protect the territorial integrity, independence, dignity, and national interests of the country.The IRGC further noted that any threat or aggression against the Islamic homeland will be crushed with full determination through the strategy of maximum deterrence and powerful offensive operations.
In another part of the statement, the IRGC stated: The proud Freedmen are teachers of resistance and steadfastness, and true symbols of active resistance and strategic hope-creation. The day of their return to Iran is one of the golden and pride-inspiring pages in the history of the Islamic Revolution. Its annual commemoration will serve as a guiding light for the young generation of society who did not experience that meaningful and glorious era.
