IRGC Says Strike Sets Main US Military Logistics Hub in West Asia Ablaze
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said it struck and destroyed the main US military logistics center in West Asia, located in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait, during the fourth wave of Operation Nasr 2 (Victory 2).
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the IRGC said the operation targeted the US military logistics hub in Mina Abdullah, setting the facility ablaze and destroying it.The statement praised the steadfast support of the Iranian people and said IRGC and Basij forces, were continuing military operations while inflicting defeats on the United States.The IRGC said the United States launched cruise missile and fighter aircraft attacks overnight against several coastal bases and positions in Iran's Southern provinces after failing to achieve its objectives at sea. It added that Iranian forces responded with crushing retaliatory strikes against the attackers.The statement said retaliatory operations would continue and that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until the end of US hostile actions.Earlier, Iranian media reported US air raids targeting several locations in Southern Iran, including Qeshm Island, Kish Island and Andimeshk.The United States has carried out repeated attacks on Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire during the latest round of US-Israeli military action against Iran.Those attacks continued after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding in June, whose first provision called for a halt to military operations on all fronts.
The United States has also sought to escort vessels through an unauthorized maritime corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, bypassing shipping routes designated by the Islamic Republic for safe and lawful navigation.Iran's Armed Forces have responded to each such incident with military retaliation, including against efforts to facilitate unauthorized vessel movements through the Strait of Hormuz, according to the statement.
