Iran's Leader: Avenging Martyred Leader's Blood Certain, Nation's Demand
Iran's Supreme Leader stressed that avenging the blood of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, is the demand of the Iranian nation and must certainly be carried out.
In a message issued on the occasion of the funeral and burial of Iran's martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei said: "We pledge that we will avenge your pure blood and the blood of all those martyred in these two wars from the disgraceful criminal perpetrators."The Supreme Leader was referring to the two wars launched against Iran by the United States and the Zionist regime, during which, in addition to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and a number of Iranian officials, thousands of civilians were also killed.Addressing the martyred Leader in his message, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei said: "We pledge to preserve your school of thought and steadfastly follow the straight path that you charted. We will not fear the hardships along this path, and, like you, we will place our trust in God's glad tidings and promises."He added: "We pledge that we will avenge your pure blood and the blood of all those martyred in these two wars from the disgraceful criminal perpetrators. This revenge is the demand of our nation, and it must certainly be carried out."Ayatollah Hosseini Khamenei further stressed: "These criminals—whose identities are fully known from top to bottom—will take with them to their graves the dream of a peaceful death in their beds. They should know that, whether we are alive or not, this will be fulfilled, and soon, free people across the world will each carry out a part of this divine mission."
He also expressed his sincere appreciation for the astonishing, enemy-defying, and historic turnout of tens of millions of people in cities and villages across Iran and Iraq—particularly in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad—who participated in the funeral and burial ceremonies of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
