IRGC Navy Commander: Retaliation Against US, Israeli Regime "Not Far Off"
The Commander of the Navy of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) referred to the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and stressed that retaliation against the "terrorist United States" and the "illegitimate Zionist regime" is not far off.
In a message issued on the occasion of the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei stated: "I, together with all the fighters of the IRGC Navy and the guardians of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, pledge before God that, by following the ideals of the martyrs, we will continue the path of the martyred Leader of the Ummah with strength and steadfastness."Rear Admiral Ozmaei added that the martyred Leader of the Ummah—"the man of patience and insight, the steadfast voice of truth in the face of the storm of falsehood"—has now found peace in God's mercy, but his name, memory, path, and pure blood will forever remain alive in the hearts of this nation.The message continued: "Today, we do not bid farewell; rather, we renew our pledge to his ideals, his steadfastness, his faith, and the path that stretches from his heart toward the bright horizons of the future."He further said that the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution devoted his life to reviving truth, defending the dignity of the Islamic Ummah, and safeguarding the lofty ideals of Islam, standing with faith, insight, and determination against the front of disbelief and arrogance.The message also stated: "Today, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of a distinguished figure who was martyred by the vilest and most wicked people on earth."
The farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution began in Tehran on Saturday with the participation of millions of people. The ceremony will continue through Sunday in Tehran, followed on Monday by funeral processions in Tehran, Qom on Tuesday, the holy shrines in Iraq on Wednesday, and finally in the city of Mashhad.The martyred Leader is scheduled to be laid to rest on Thursday in Mashhad, beside the holy shrine of Imam Reza(AS), the Eighth Imam of Shia Muslims.
