Two Security Forces Martyred, Five Injured in Armed Attack on Checkpoint in Western Iran

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that two Iranian security personnel were martyred and five others injured in an armed attack on a security checkpoint in the city of Baneh, in Iran’s Western Kurdistan Province.
The Public Relations Office of the IRGC’s Beit al-Moqaddas Headquarters in Kurdistan said armed anti-revolution elements attacked a checkpoint in Baneh County on Friday night, killing two police security personnel and wounding five others.It added that both of the fallen personnel were members of the police force. Among the injured are two police officers, one IRGC member, and two civilians.According to preliminary reports, one of the injured is in critical condition.
