Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Warns of Reciprocal Measures in Case of Any US Violation
Following the publication of the strategic message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding the negotiation process and the signing of the memorandum ending the war, Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) stressed that any deviation or violation by the US side would be met with reciprocal action in accordance with a pre-determined plan.
In a statement, the SNSC expressed appreciation for the message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the noble Iranian nation.The Council assured the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the great and heroic Iranian people that it would show no leniency whatsoever in implementing his directives and instructions, particularly with regard to safeguarding the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front.In a message issued on Thursday following the signing of the memorandum ending the war between Iran and the United States, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, stated: "As a matter of principle, I held a different view. However, based on the commitment given to me by the respected President, in his capacity as Chairman of the Supreme National Security Council, on behalf of himself and the other members regarding the protection of the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front, and their explicit acceptance of responsibility in this regard, I authorized it."He further emphasized that Iran would not submit to any excessive demands should the US side seek to impose them.
The statement also noted that the Supreme National Security Council, in honoring the blood of the martyrs and advancing future negotiations on the basis of the interests and expediencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, would not relent until the full rights of the Iranian nation are secured and justice is pursued for the pure blood of the martyred Leader.The SNSC further underlined that, in this regard, it would proceed with complete distrust toward the unfaithful and treaty-breaking enemy, while maintaining close oversight of the negotiation process and the implementation of related plans.
