Iran Yet to Make Final Decision on Proposed Understanding with US, Source Says
A knowledgeable source close to Iran’s negotiating team stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has not yet announced its final decision regarding the proposed understanding with the United States, adding that political, legal, and technical reviews of the proposals are still underway.
Speaking to Fars News Agency, the source said that Iran has neither finalized nor officially declared its position on the proposed understanding presented during the course of the negotiations.According to information obtained by Fars, assessments of the various aspects of the proposals continue at both expert and decision-making levels, with the relevant authorities carefully examining the political, legal, and technical dimensions of the matter.The source emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently maintained that any decision regarding a potential agreement will be made solely on the basis of safeguarding national interests, preserving its red lines, and obtaining the necessary guarantees. Tehran, the source added, will not be influenced by media speculation or political messaging in this regard.
