FNA: US Wants 400 kg of Iran Uranium, Refuses War Reparations
A Fars News correspondent has reported new details of US demands for the resumption of negotiations with Iran, according to which the United States has refused to pay any war reparations to Iran and has demanded the removal of 400 kilograms of enriched uranium from Iran for delivery to the US.
Based on the Fars correspondent's findings regarding the US response to Iran's proposals, other American conditions include: keeping only one of Iran's nuclear facilities operational, refusing to release even 25 percent of Iran's frozen assets, and making the cessation of hostilities on all fronts contingent upon holding negotiations. The report emphasizes that even if Iran were to meet these conditions, the threat of aggression by the US and the Zionist regime would persist. The Islamic Republic of Iran has made any negotiations conditional upon the fulfillment of five confidence-building preconditions: an end to hostilities on all fronts—especially in Lebanon—the lifting of anti-Iran sanctions, the unfreezing of Iran's blocked assets, compensation for war damages, and recognition of Iran's sovereign right over the Strait of Hormuz.Analysts believe that the US proposal, rather than resolving the issue, seeks to achieve objectives that Washington has been unable to attain throughout the course of the war.
