Iranian Youth Weightlifting Team Crowned World Champions with 14 Medals in Egypt

Iran's weightlifting caravan clinched the championship title at the World Youth Championships in Egypt, winning a total of 14 medals.
The Iranian national team secured the top position in both the points and medal standings at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships, earning 6 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze medal.On Friday, continuing the competitions, Iran's representatives in the super-heavyweight category (+110kg) delivered outstanding performances, securing first and second places and adding another exceptional result to Iran's tally.In this category, Hamidreza Mohammaditana single-handedly claimed the world gold medal with a dominant display. In the snatch, he successfully lifted 171kg, 176kg, and 180kg, finishing in first place. In the clean and jerk, he was flawless again, registering 206kg, 214kg, and 221kg, cementing his dominance and becoming world champion with a total of 401kg.Meanwhile, Taha Nemati-Moqaddam also delivered a remarkable performance, finishing as vice-champion. He successfully lifted 166kg and 172kg in the snatch and, after missing his third attempt (177kg), settled for second place. In the clean and jerk, he successfully completed all three attempts (206kg, 213kg, and 220kg), also finishing second in that segment, earning him the runner-up spot overall.With this result, Iran's weightlifting team became champions in both the points and medal standings, finishing the competition with 6 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
