Iran Warns If Its Ports Are Threatened, No Port in Persian Gulf, Oman Sea to Be Safe

The spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters emphasized that if the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman is threatened, no port in the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Oman will remain safe.
Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari stated that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran declare clearly and decisively: the security of ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman is either for everyone or for no one.Colonel Zolfaghari asserted that the criminal United States’ imposition of restrictions on the maritime movement of vessels in international waters is an illegal act and a clear instance of piracy. He added that given the enemy’s continued threats against the Iranian nation and national security, even after the war, the Islamic Republic of Iran will decisively enforce a permanent mechanism to control the Strait of Hormuz.According to Colonel Zolfaghari, as has been stated repeatedly, vessels affiliated with the enemy have no right and will not be allowed to transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Other vessels, however, will still be permitted passage provided they comply with the regulations set by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters noted that the exercise of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s sovereignty over its territorial waters is the natural right of the Iranian nation.
