Iran’s Armed Forces Spokesman Warns of Crushing Response to Any US Military Action
The senior spokesperson of Iran’s Armed Forces warned that in the event of any confrontation, American troops and their equipment in the region would be destroyed, and all US resources and interests across the region would come under fire from Iranian forces.
Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, reacting to recent threats by US President Donald Trump, stated that Trump’s repeated remarks and threats amount to nothing more than bluster and fantasy.He added that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on their defensive and offensive capabilities and backed by the brave, united, and resilient Iranian people, are closely and fully monitoring all movements by the US military and the Zionist regime in the region with complete readiness.General Shekarchi described the US military presence in the region as part of a campaign of “psychological warfare, extortion, and bullying,” asserting that if officials in Washington possessed prudence and rationality and understood the true capabilities of Iran’s Armed Forces, they would never speak of war.He further warned that any provocative action by the US military or terrorist groups affiliated with it would be met with a decisive response and crushing blows from the Islamic Republic of Iran.“We have proven that we are not warmongers,” he said, “but we are not afraid of war either, and we will powerfully defend our country and the interests of the noble Iranian nation.”Addressing the US government directly, General Shekarchi cautioned that any reckless move would ignite a widespread fire across the region and draw a response unprecedented in its history.
