Iran’s Army Chief Warns of Decisive Response to Enemy Threats

The Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Army, emphasizing the full readiness of the armed forces, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the escalation of hostile rhetoric against the Iranian nation as a threat and will not leave its continuation unanswered.
Major General Amir Hatami, speaking to students at the Army Command and Staff University, referred to certain hostile remarks and foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs, stating: “I can say with confidence that today the readiness of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran is far greater than it was before the 12-day war.”He stressed that if the enemy commits any mistake, it will face a more decisive response, adding that Iran will cut off the hand of any aggressor.Major General Hatami described any act of aggression against Iran as far-reaching and underlined that the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran will act with full force to fulfill its mission of defending and safeguarding the country’s independence, territorial integrity, and the Islamic Republic system. In another part of his remarks, referring to the 12-day war waged by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran last June, he said that Iran’s armed forces—including the Army, the IRGC, and law enforcement and security forces—along with the Iranian nation and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, created an honor during the imposed 12-day war that has been recorded in history.Major General Hatami added that the roots of this war must be examined so that, by clearly identifying Iran’s position and that of the enemy, the country can better assess its future and the enemy’s plans.
