Iran’s First VP Warns Against Renewed Hostile Acts by US, Zionists
Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, referring to the recent 12‑day war waged by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran, said that if the enemies repeat their hostile acts, they will be dealt a harsher blow than before.
Aref said that the outcome of the imposed 12‑day war was that the usurping Zionist regime, resorting to its American patron, proposed a ceasefire. “Today we are in a state of ceasefire, and we hope that for once, despite their policies and conduct, they will remain committed to it; otherwise, they will face even more crushing strikes,” he stated. Speaking Tuesday morning at the National Skills Conference in Tehran, Aref also highlighted the role of the private sector in Iran, noting: “We have moved toward utilizing the capabilities of the private sector, given its great potential, and their contribution during the 12‑day war cannot be overlooked. While the military bore heavy responsibilities, the private sector shone alongside the government in other areas.” Elsewhere in his remarks, emphasizing Iran’s progress in emerging technologies, Aref stressed that Iran must secure a leading position in Southwest Asia in its 20‑year development plan, which requires the cooperation of scientists and technologists. He added: “To implement development programs, we are compelled to make use of modern resources, and we must foster a culture in line with this path.”
