Terrorist Attack Targets Courthouse in Southeastern Iran
On Saturday morning, armed assailants launched a terrorist attack on the Zahedan courthouse in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, located in Southeastern Iran. [+MULTIMEDIA]
Emergency responders and security forces are currently at the scene. According to Fars News Agency, a number of injured individuals have been rescued from the courthouse by emergency personnel and transported to medical centers by ambulance.

The terror group Jaish al-Adl has taken responsibility for the attack. Three of the assailants have been killed so far.
Visitors and courthouse staff are also being evacuated from the area with the assistance of police and security forces. Security and law enforcement personnel have established a visible presence around the courthouse, and some units have entered the building. No official figures on the number of casualties or fatalities have been confirmed as of yet.
